He is a graduate of the Immigration: Laws, Policies, Procedures programme of The University of British Columbia, Canada. Bassey is well versed in the Canadian immigration processes, as he, being an immigrant himself, who arrived Canada in 2005 as an international student, has gone through different immigration processes, before becoming a Canadian citizen.
